The Circle at Craigiebank

The Circle at Craigiebank is the name of the project to demolish the sanctuary of Craigiebank Parish Church and replace it with a multi-functional space for community use.

The project is anticipated to cost £1.6 million. Following the production of a detailed business plan for the project at the end of 2012, we have begun the proces of seeking funding for the project. A fundraising team from the Association is now collating a list of local trusts and other funding bodies, and will shortly begin submitting funding applications. We will be seeking Big Lottery funding from their main community funding scheme, but this will cover only about one half of the cost of the project.

Church services are now being held in the large hall (as they were before the sanctuary was opened in 1938), and all other activities that use the premises will continue as normal during the fundraising and construction phases of The Circle at Craigiebank.

We are delighted that Lord Guthrie of Craigiebank, former Chief of the Defence Staff, has kindly agreed to be the Patron of The Circle at Craigiebank.
